Cherif M. Abdallah Champions Strategic African Partnerships at 2026 Mining Indaba in Cape Town

CAPE TOWN, South Africa (February 20, 2026) – At the prestigious Investing in African Mining Indaba held in Cape Town, Liberia’s Business Magnate, Cherif M. Abdallah, Chairman of the Conex Group and Fouta Corporation, engaged in high-level discussions with leading African industrialists and financial executives.
Among those present were Abdul Samad Rabiu, Founder and Chairman of BUA Group—the fourth wealthiest man in Africa and second wealthiest in Nigeria—and Samaila Zubairu, President and CEO of Africa Finance Corporation.

The conference took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from February 9–12, 2026, under the theme, “Stronger Together.”

The event brought together more than 10,500 professionals, investors, corporate leaders, and government officials from across the globe to address critical issues impacting the mining sector, including minerals development, technological innovation, and sustainability.

The program featured high-level government panel discussions, investor networking sessions, and community engagement forums aimed at fostering collaboration and driving responsible growth within Africa’s mining industry.
